The Instructor

A certified NCDA FCD Master Trainer, Melyssa Harrison, is one of two course instructors for Harrison & Associates East, LLC offering hands-on real-life applications needed for career success. She is enthusiastic about collaborating with others in their career advancement. Utilizing over 25 years of effective efficient career development experience, our students are fully equipped with the necessary tools to facilitate their customers’ career pathway.

The Forerunner of Fast Track FCD Training

She established the only Youth Services Career Center in the state becoming the pilot for successful engaging youth career services. Her team became one of the state’s most productive in increasing job placements and earning credentials within its first year of operation. During her tenure the youth training program met and/or exceeded its annual performance each year.

NCDA Facilitating Career Development

(FCD) Instructor Training

Become a Certified NCDA FCD Instructor now!

FCD Instructors provide the relevant skills and knowledge to assist those working (or planning to work) in the career development industry. They have expertise in:

• career development and/or career counseling
• training adults at corporate, post-secondary educational, or government level
• career / vocational assessments
• labor market (occupational) information and resources
• job search retention techniques
  
  

Course Structure

Our 40-hour FCD Instructor Training is completely online via Zoom and customizable to candidate’s needs in either a one-on-one or group format over multiple sessions. Each candidate will need a computer with a webcam, microphone, and earbuds or headset. Plan at least 3 virtual F2F 3-hour sessions over two to seven-weeks – you decide. The eLeaning component is included at no extra cost!!! Upon successful completion of the FCD Instructor Workshop, you will be an NCDA FCD Instructor. Therefore, no additional exams, case studies, or certifications are needed.

Training Costs (established by NCDA)

$1,500   Tuition per candidate If paying with debit/credit card, fee is $1,565 Effective October 1, 2024, price increases to $2,000 ($2,080 for cards).

Registration Process

1. FIRST, please review the Qualifications.

2. Complete the Instructor Pre-Application. An Instructor Application Packet will be emailed to you by the next business day.

3. Submit completed Application Packet and all required documents to Melyssa Harrison, NCDA Master Trainer.

4. After reviewing your application, documents/attachments and upon acceptance, an invoice will be sent.

5. Full payment is due three (3) weeks prior to start of training.

Refunds

Requests for refunds must be given in writing and prior to the start of the original requested start date. Refunds will be issued based on the following scale:

Harrison & Associates East LLC has been qualified by the Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. (CCE) as a Registered Credential Training Provider, RCTP No. RCTP1003-GCDF, to provide the FCD training course qualified for credit for eligibility for the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential.
